On June 28, Baihetan Hydropower Station's first batch of units will start generating ricity. Located downstream from the sha River on the border of Yunnan and Sichuan provinces in southwest China,

Baihetan Hydropower Station is the world's largest power plant currently under construction, the world's largest installed capacity of a single generating unit, and the world's second-largest in terms of overall installed capacity.

It is a major source of power for China's west-to-east power transmission project and is expected to make a great contribution to the country's efforts to peak carbon diode emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

白鶴灘水電站是目前世界上最大的在建電站，也是世界上單機組裝機容量最大的電站，裝機容量位居世界第二。

它是中國“西電東輸”工程的主要電力來源，預計將為中國實現2030年二氧化碳排放峰值、2060年實現碳中和作出重大貢獻。
