A former librarian accused of ra a British woman in front of her husband in Goa has been identified by the victim in a police parade.

The 42-year-old victim, from Middlesex, was allegedly attacked while she was having a massage near Arambol Beach - an area popular with foreign tourists – in Goa, India.

Before returning to the UK she was requested to take part in an identity parade, in which she correctly identified the arrested accused, according to police.

I went to Goa in 2015 when I was 28. When I got a ta with my partner and he got out and before I could the ta driver attempted to drive off with me in the car. Luckily for me he didn't lock the doors and I threw myself out. From the moment we got in that car something didn't feel as he kept asking us to kiss it was really odd. I never felt safe for the entire 2 weeks in that country. A lot of the men were very intense and scary.
