After Spicejet, IndiGo flight suffers bird hit, makes emergency landing; 3rd in dent in a day

An IndiGo flight to Delhi suffered a bird hit shortly after taking off from Guwahati airport. The flight made an emergency landing at Guwahati airport following the in dent. According to reports, two of its engine blades suffered dge. The flight has been grounded for further inspection. While all passengers were accommodated on another flight. This was the third in dent of bird hit in a day after two Spicejet flights, Delhi-Jabalpur & Patna-Delhi also suffered the same.

Bird strikes are common in aviation. FAA states that there are about 26 birdstrikes daily. Not a pilot, but birdstrikes are not a very real threat to an aircraft with few exceptions. @Devtheking 21 and yet all in dents that lead to risk of life are investigated for how they could be better handled in the future. Even if it is a fairly common occurence, an investigation doesn't harm anyone if it leads to an expected conclusion.

Engine fire when the plane in the the air is not acceptable, it shows the poor service of the engine or the person who is in charge of checking the engine before every flight. Red flag the engine fire event in mid air. other events like bird strike in mid air is beyond the control of a pilot.
